About ICMA

Through the NSU Student Chapter, you can join fellow classmates as they prepare to become the next generation of government leaders.

The ICMA strives to introduce and integrate students of all ages into the local government management profession.

Interested in exploring a career in government, public health, business, or real estate?

Membership Benefits

  • The ICMA Student Chapter at NSU is a NEW STUDENT ORGANIZATION – participate as a FOUNDING MEMBER and help us attain the full potential of the program!

  • We are a university-wide chapter for both undergraduate and graduate students, led by graduate students from the Department of Public Administration and Real Estate Development.

  • Our aim is to attract graduate and undergraduate students who are interested in public service but may not be aware of career possibilities in local governments.

  • Student Chapters gain access to the many resources available to professional members of ICMA, including networking opportunities with members already established in the profession.

  • Help build stronger relationships between the local government management profession and the academic community.

  • Gain access to scholarships, internships, experiential projects, and valuable professional development resources.
